  13. I use the USR 28.8 with the init string set by Win95, mdmusrsp.inf and no 
  14. other items. I get 28.8 (with v.34+, occasionally 31,200 )connects but 
  15. the transfer rates seem well below potential so I blame my ISP. 
  16. Transfering a text file from the local ftp site my transfer speed is no 
  17. better than 7100bytes p/s. With 4x compression on text files shouldn't 
  18. the rate be like * much * higher??
